Sometimes you just have those days where everything makes sense. Every thought is clear and nothing phases you...except of course the driver who rides your butt and cuts you off. i know for a fact if the Lord didn't work on my heart in this area i would be the worst road rager in history!! Anyway yesterday seemed like the kind of day for me where work made sense and I knew what to have for supper! My mom bought these asian boxes that had precooked noodles in them but didn't need refrigeration. this was odd to me, but i ate it anyway. I love eating with chopsticks and this was like asian take-out in a box!

I also learnt a new word...well sort of. I used it in a sentence and then didn't know if i had used it correctly so i looked it up and i had! so i didn't even know i knew this word but it spewed forth from my mouth and amazingly in the right context. It was colloquialism. i'll let you look it up ;)

I also saw a sweet car, so i decided to follow it for a while. it was a chrysler crossfire. i haven't looked them up yet on the internet but i plan too. If i didn't have the life i have now i think i would be a race car driver. or at least a test driver for fast cars. dont worry my little honda i still think your ok.

Did i mention i bought a cieling fan? I have never once in my life thought of buying a cieling fan and all of a sudden i needed to get one. I didn't know where to start, but luckily i had been at home depot a couple of days earlier and so it sprung to mind. There are a lot of different cieling fans out there and I, nor the guy working at the store, really knew the differences between them. so i picked the nicest looking one in my price range. i'm a girl what do you expect..for me to look at technical stuff?? i'm sure the slant of my blades will whip down air just fine.

well...9:36 time for bath and bed.

Toronto Days 3 & 4....finally

If There is anybody out there still reading my scarcely updated blog here is a bit of dialogue on my last two days in the big TO! Who can guess what this is and where we went on saturday??? This my friends is the heart of an elephant. Amazingly similar in structure to our own hearts, and since i am such a science and anatomy geek absolutely loved seeing this up close, and yes we were at the TO science center.

Here i am trying out a space suit...or what it feels like to stand behind a cardboard cutout of one anyway. We did tour a space exhibit though, and an exhibit on time, and a living earth exhibit where we walked through a replicated rainforest. I also went to a paper-making demo...it is going to be my new crafty project. Too bad nobody writes letters anymore...just you wait friends a note just might get to you on some handcrafted stationary!

This was part of some psychology exhibit. so cool! try saying the colors that the words are as fast as you can (starting with blue ect)... NOT what is written. hehe fun huh? :)

The next day we spent the morning at a castle! We toured the entire thing only to find out at the end that a lot of X-Men had been filmed there...this meant we had to go back and take more pictures and look around for hugh jackman. just being in a room i knew he was in....*swoon*

Then that afternoon was Lord of The Rings! All i can say is...Incredible. GO! if you can of course. I'm now on a theatre craze and am going to see CATS this weekend in Calgary and Phantom of the Opera in July. I just can't get enough.

So That is that...i have been back for almost two weeks and haven't stopped thinking about where i am going next...but actually i know. Ottawa in April! hmmmm...i had thought of blogging about my day today..it was so interesting, but maybe i'll do it tomorow and pretend like its today...wait, the dates get put on dont they...well i'll blog tomorow about today then. I was going to journal about today and then i realized i have a journal..its my blog! yay!

Toronto day 2....or an extension of day 1

The Red-Eye DID fly!! yay! So we spent three hours trying to catch some ZZZZ's before hitting the big city! and did we ever reach a big city in my opinion. We had to navigate our way from the airport using city transit to where we are staying. we were given great directions, but once we got to the subway it was right around 8:00 am (rushhour) and i felt like a total small town girl getting pushed around not knowing what i was doing, or how to pay or where to go. We found the apartment, which is in a great location pretty close to downtown, and sat and planned our weekend. Then it was out the door and off to explore!!

On the way we found this hot dog stand, it was recommended by a friend of mine who said on this particular street corner at this stand, the dogs were great, but i shouldn't try to talk to the vendor. Well AS i was ordering my all beef hot dog before i even finished he abruptly said "yeah ok" and then i thought i would let him know he had the best hot dog stand i'd ever seen, so i started saying that and he again before i was finished said "yeah i know"! so funny! Great hot dog! We continued to explore younge street getting deeper and deeper into downtown.

After walking along the harbour (where we saw people ice skating right next to a totally thawed lake) and where we tried out some pretty expensive chocolates we happened across another recommended attraction. the steamwhistle brewery. free samples and a very friendly employee who told us the tour spiel at the front counter made the experience fantastic. i must bring some home! beer i mean not store employees.

After the brewery we crossed the street to the CN tower. this tower boasts having the highest man-made observation deck in the world. we figured God out did Ned the engineer and has made the highest God-made observation deck in the world...everest! this one will have to do for us! What a busy place though, lots of line-ups and waiting and jostling about, but fantastic views of the city, and such a clear day!

.....Only in Canada people will we see a moose dressed up like a mounty! and here, getting some action to boot!

On one of the observation decks there was a crazy glass floor! this played with the brain as you felt like you were walking on nothing! supposedly it was able to withstand the weight of 14 large hippos!! i think we were within the limits. Finally after a long and somewhat footsore but very entertaining day of walking around downtown (with little to no sleep the night before) we were ready to hit the Air Canada Center for a Raptors game. i had heard they weren't doing very well this season, so i wasn't too optomistic about the outcome, but we faithfully cheered them on. with three minutes left it was looking even bleaker as milwake was up by about thirteen points. I had been pretty disappointed altogether about the effort of the players and the lack of cheering by the fans and then in the last few minutes somehow T.O. scored a few points and came within two! of course NOW the fans started cheering like crazy and the players actually started trying, and we ended up winning by ONE!! pretty dramatic finish. i was happy for the people of this city :) thats enough for tonight, we are bushed and tomorow is another day hitting the hot spots....namely the science center. ;) until then....g'night.

Day 1-Toronto trip attempt # 2

I will start the blog right at the beginning and try to chronicle well. So far Nicole and have made it through check-in, and are in the crew lounge before we head through security to sit at our desired gate for the next three hours before our flight leaves.....There has been a lot of delay tonight, so we'll see if the red-eye flys...

Special meatball memories....

A favorite childhood song:
....On top of spagheeettiii all covered with cheese....I lost my poor meatball when somebody sneeeezed....It rolled off the taaaaable and onto the floorrrr...And then my poor meatballlll rolled right out the dooorrrrr....It rolled cross the garden and under a bush....And then my poor meatball....was nothing but mush!
A nostaligc NZ memory:
"Who needs a sink plug when you have meatball??"
Just Yesterdays Experience:
Making Ceasar Meatballs (or BBQ meatballs if you dont have celery salt). Experimenting with the sauce, putting just about everything in the fridge door in there, including spicy clamatto, tabasco, and spicy ketchup. Finally getting the perfecting ingredient from my dad to make the most excellent meatball sauce ever! I mean who doesn't like a meatball? Its a big ball of meat! *drool* i've eaten them now for two days straight. and, let me check, nope i haven't had supper yet and there are leftovers in the fridge. well time to go....

OWWWWW......

Today I thought i had one client, which was great because i had planned to spend the afternoon making up an assignement for some students who need some extra credit, and it needs to be done tomorow, so it was the perfect plan. Well as i'm in with the client i guess someone called in and booked for like two hours later, which means i only get home at 5:30 which means now i have to work all evening on this stupid assignment instead of relaxing! Ahhhhhh! i think this is making my neck hurt.....i need a massage.
